one of the two halperns must be stoll?
Or Richardson and Stoll staying on line 2 ?
Look! We have our own twins now! The Halpern twins. Oh, wait… :-)
um…did jarret stoll miss the flight or something? and i know halpern is good, but can he play center and rw at the same time?
Interesting. If TM was going to the lab to clone someone, you would think it would be a certain Norris Trophy candidate instead of Halpern . . . :-)
Halpern is playing both Center and Wing? Murray must of thought he had a hell of a game last game….
Halpern is our new Twin Terror
As long as one of the Halpern’s doesn’t turn into Ivanans.
You know I have always wondered about the second and third D Pair. Why would TM not put JJ and OD together or JJ and Greener together? I would think you would always want at least one D man who can skate the puck out of the zone and make a great first pass on each pair. Let’s be honest OD and Greener are not the best skaters, i love them as shut down guys.
Thoughts?
I also like williams on that third line. Gives it a little more speed and I think they will compliment each other well. Look for willy to have a big game…
Jeff-
Williams gives speed to the 4th line?? Parse is twice as fast. Have you seen Williams skate?
Finally the cloning technology is complete.
haha. it must be something similar to this: http://intenttoblow.com/?p=448

I said williams gives more speed to the 3rd line not 4th. I love parse but, he is too inconsistent to be out there every game in the playoffs. I trust JW will come through given his experience and the fact that he is got to be pissed he sat out. And yes, he gives speed to that line when you are talking about Modin and Handzus who are not the best skaters.
Williams will come out hungry to play & game 1 is behind him.
Opportunities will be there for him & 5 on 5 play will change tonight.
Are 2 websites better than one?

Ugh again with the Johnson/Jones experiment, Otherwise this line up looks great
Jones is a disaster. Given the chance he will single-handedly cost us this series. I get nervous every time he steps on the ice.
Yeah, Jones was awful when he blocked that sure goal by Demitra in the last game. What WAS he thinking?!?! We don’t need players like that. Wait a minute…
Jones needs to make better decisions with the puck behind the net. The first pass is sometimes to slow or indecisive.
So we need a site to post play off beards!! plus be nice to get some faces to the names.
Mo-Zeus-Willie is a S—–L—–O—–W Line! I’m really worried about the lack of speed there. That is a line that has to creep in to the O-Zone. Dump-n-chase, one guy in with the other 2 at the 1/2 boards waiting to cycle. DON’T send the puck to the blueline unless the path to a d-man is obvious and clear.
If VAN intercepts any pass with that line and get an ‘Off the the races’ movement the other way, we’ll be in trouble. Hopefully there will be a good contain game in the O-zone with this line.
Otherwise, doesn’t look too bad. We’re definitely rollin’ 4.
Here’s how I would have rolled it though (Like it matters):
Smyth-Kopi-Simmer
Fro-Stoll-Brown
Mo-Zeus-Richie
Clune-Hal-Willie
Speed on every line to execute the consistent forecheck:
Simmer
Stoll
Richie
Clune
That’s just me though.
‘Off TO the races’ – I type too fast.
I like it Minnesota Kings Fan.
Murray had good things to say about Jonesy’s last game.
I expect another good game tonight with some points.
I don’t want points from Jones right now. Keep it simple and make the smart plays. He had a good game last game and that’s all I’m looking for. Let JMFJ and Drew do the heavy lifting offensively.
@Jeff
I agree. Who out-skated OD/Greene pair and scored winning goal? Sisters. They are really good Ds when space are tight but for open ice they could be easily out-maneuvered bacause of their lack of speed. Our system is the center has to help out defensively but sometimes they would be cought in offensive zone. When that happens at least one D with skating ability has to put the pressure on opponent’s rush to limit their options. I think OD did the right thing by standing up at blue line but it was a gamble he had to take. Unfortunately, it didn’t work and Greene couldn’t block the shot because he was also out-skated. In any case, we only have 2 Ds with skating ability so it would be rather difficult to put right combination together for TM. I think line match up is the key to shut down sisters line.
