GREENE: “He played really well. He was extremely calm in net, and he’s got a lot of confidence. I think it showed tonight. He just didn’t get fazed at all. A young kid, playing his first game in a couple years, getting in a shootout against some big names on the other team, if he was nervous we couldn’t tell. It was good to have him.’
(on getting three of four points on the road trip…)
GREENE: “Not bad. We felt we did a lot of things in Chicago that we’re not too happy about, and we let a point slip away. You go in there and you play a team like that in their building, we felt that we deserved better. Just some mistakes hurt us. So, best case scenario is to get two points and three out of four. That’s great for us, after losing that point. Going into it, we want to get two points every game, coming through here.”

I agree, that is a great attitude. Every point we pick up is very important right now, but two points is def. more important, because we may still SJs’ spot and get #1, which is very doable. I like the Dallas announcers when they said, “The Kings inch closer to clinching a play-off spot”. We are PLAYOFF bound, I am absolutly excited.
@#1faninvegas, These stars announcer are very good!! they kept praising us all night !! even complained about bad penalties against us!! and by the way i m sooooooo excited also!! Hail to the KINGS baby!!!!

can someone tell me why TM goes with SO at important times in the game or anytime for that matter he loses his checks in the defensive zone ad nausea can not clear anyone out in front of the crease and coughs up the puck when a little pressure is that the kind of DEFENSMAN you want in your own zone gave up the tieing goal again tonight remind me of mark hardy when he was on the ice
@backchecker, GODi totally agree!! and why did he keep putting brown with kopi??? why did he keep giving purcell ice time? why does he keep putting RANDY BO BANDY OUT THERE??????? makes u wonder if he really is the right man for the job ???/
@Little Willy, ur right the Kings are basically tied for fourth ovwerall, time to fire the coach.

TM knows what he’s doing. He is a far better coach than coachs I have seen in a long time for the Kings.

I think he can. I may not be this year, but I see it coming in the next few….kinda like the Pens. The only one, I think could do better and get us there now is retired…. AKA Scotty Bowman!!!

And yes, Id love to see the Kings win the cup this year….but seeing how other rebuilding teams do when they enter the first play-offs after not being in it for a long time, its not really there!! I mean, some people may hate me for saying we wont win the cup this year, but I love the fact we are talking play-offs. I love the fact, we have a TEAM, that we can see grow, and be a contender for years!! I do say, Kings win the cup with-in the next 3 years!! Not this year!!!
little — I am just having fun at your expense. Most hockey people think TM is a canidate for coach of the year and you are wondering if he should be replaced. You are welcome to it.

@jet, i never would replace him this year !! he deserves his shot for sure !! no matter what he s made the kings into beleivers and he dserves a lot of credit!!! i was just wonderin if he could take us into that next level !! u kno from pretenders to CONTENDERS!! A BIG DIFFERENCE!! we ll see i guess and here s hoping that he does !! GO KINGS!!!!
little — That is good to hear, because 4th in the league is above average. It does not matter what labels you put on the team, they are still 4th.
