As posted earlier, that’s a big step because it now puts Williams’ return date in the hands of Terry Murray and Williams, and out of the hands of doctors. A team spokesman said that Williams “will continue to travel with the team and no timetable for his return has been established.”

Rich Hammond has covered the Kings, on a full-time or part-time basis, since the 2000-01 season. He previously worked at the Los Angeles Daily News, was the beat writer for the entire John Torchetti era and has witnessed Bob Miller singing country music in a Nashville honky-tonk bar.

Great news,; here is to 40 games of good health to finish out the season.
Freakin Fantastic!! I still wouldn’t expect to see him back until after this next roadie. Based off his comments about Quick, TM seems concerned about not enough practice time until then. Would love to see him sooner than that, just my 2 cents.

I hope you’re right, but I just have a feeling TM is going to want to get a couple of solid days of practice in before putting him back in the line-up. I’m thinking we’ll see him on the 18th against CHI.

It’s freakin’ amazing about Williams coming back- as I thought it was simular to Charlie Simmer’s injury years ago when the Kings traded for- you guessed it- RICK MARTIN! My only concern is- how did it affect his overall ability- did the injury degrade his movement or talents (physical ability before and after)
Oh, and Rich- how do you get those “votes” on your blog? I would like to use the simular on mine!
