Fredrik Modin’s postgame thoughts…
(on scoring against, and beating, his former team…)
MODIN: “It’s always nice to get a chance to score against your old team. I thought we played a good game. We had a good start. Obviously they took a lot of penalties and we were able to capitalize on them and snowball a little bit.”
(on chemistry with his new teammates…)
MODIN: “It feels really good on that line I’m playing on right now. Handzus is a great center, and able to find holes. Me and Simmer are just trying to get open and make some players, so it’s been working pretty good so far.”

Modin 2 thumbs up^^
Keep in goin’ Modin!
THREE STOOGES LINE??
Zues Mo & Simmer
any takers?
I have to admit that I dismissed the notion that Modin would score a lot. I’m happy to admit that he’s already proven me wrong. More game left in him than I’d thought!
I looked at a couple of Blue Jackets blogs after the trade and some rather cruel things were said about him in the comments. Wonder how they like him now.
Check out all the Mo Haters…..

@DougS,
Doug, I was just reading that…check out the link I posted below.
I’ve read on the Jackets boards about their feelings about Modin, but he just looks like a monster. I know he’s had some injuries but tonight a goal and an assist, and what, 3 pts in 3 games? So far so good.
Way to go Moe!
Ready Freddy!
@Harry, So basically, we got him on waivers? I’m OK with that! I’d be OK with giving up the pick, too. ;)
With this line and their size and crash the net attitude is going to be very hard for other teams to face. I stick this line out against the Blackhawks top line and let them bang it out against them.
Wow, DL got him for free! Damn thats some serious hardball he plays.
@src, No he got him for a 7th round pick. There is nothing conditional about it. ;-)
Columbus only gets that 7th rounder IF (and this is a slightly big if) the Kings win the Stanley Cup! Yes, it is conditional.

@wavesinair, No it is not. ;-D
@Harry,
Wow. Still no respect, even after he scored a sweet goal on them. :-o
Well, I guess they have a right to be bitter in Columbus this year.
Dustin Brown is obviously a good choice for Captain.
I like how he’s already doubled his goal output for the year in his couple games with our team!
if he stays healthy he can be affective as a king he just didn’t have the right type of players in Columbus glad to see he was a “fit” and that we don’t have to give up anything except if we win the cup.
