Columbus’ 11 shots on goal were the fewest by a Kings opponent this season. Vancouver had 15 shots on goal in a 2-1 shootout victory over the Kings on Oct. 29. The Kings tied a season high with three power-play goals — third time this season — and Jonathan Quick recorded his third shutout of the season.

Jones played a great game
yaaaay fro….:)

yaaaay defense:)
yaaaay kings..:)
a full 60 minute effort…!!!
get well soon bob…:)
1rst star.RESPECT THE FRO.
The game is still on the satellite…
How are you so far ahead?
Clock now is 1:00!
We can’t complain about anything with the way they dominated tonight!
Guess Quick’s shutout wasn’t good enough for the first star? Guess when you only face a handfull of shots, they don’t view it as a big deal.
@Dominick,
RESPECT DA’ FRO…!!!
Game over at 10:05…
@BakoCAkingsCondorsGuy,
RESPECT DA’ FRO…!!!
I hope the conditional 7th rounder goes through, otherwise Lombardi is going to find his face on a piece of parchment at the post office.
Man does Fro look nervous. Love you
@variable, What did Quick do? LMAO A whole 11 shots! The rest however… WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In all seriousness, Great shutout tho! Congrats to all!!!!
sat has a delay… commieCast ftw
Keep it going in Chi-town
@Nitrohockey, Not with 11 saves! Still, a shutout! So WHOOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!
Fro is always like that, H never makes eye contact. Just keeps looking around.
@pr0cess,
Delay of 3-4 minutes?
I was one of his strong critics at the beginning of the year. Glad to see he’s found his stride and playing like a man possessed!!! This is the Frolov I’ve wanted to see all along.
@Kris,
lol…a shutout is a shutout…quality not quantity…:)
@Kris, Yeah, didn’t think so. Just threw it out there because there’s always a comment like that every time Quick doesn’t make the three stars. Regardless, I’ll take the shutout win!!!
@variable,
Why not 3 or 4 shutouts more?
I say quantity of quality!
Everything working tonight! Way to go Kings!! Same thing on Wednesday boys. Yeah!
@variable,
I respect da Fro,
Even tho my sho is slo…
@Kris,
B…
sure…why not…?!
@V,
Thought I just saw you on the plaza, eh?
@BakoCAkingsCondorsGuy,
i know you do B…
just gettin’ a lil excited that all of us who have are getting some DAP and payback for sticking with someone who would eventually breakout of it…
@McDonalds, Yes he did.
What annoys me is Direct almost always cuts off CenterIce right at the end of the game. Is it the same on Dish? Would be nice to get a little of the post game and know who the three stars are . . .
@BakoCAkingsCondorsGuy,
nope…it wasn’t me…
watching comfortably at home…
maybe it was mini-v…???
hey rich, some of us on LGK want to send a virtual card to bob, to show him a little bit of how much he means to us. is there anyway we can somehow, someway, get an e mail address? or someone at FSN. something?
@KingsFanSince74-75, it does it on cable too
@Nitrohockey, He was 4th star*
FroLOVE!!!
way to go kings!
@20lucfan,
Ditto That!
Good Idea!
‘Night, all!
great effort there, grats to Quick, Frolov, Jones and Modin…
@20lucfan, So probably NHL contractual thing, too bad.
Wow. Just wow. Great effort by the Kings all night, and the results show that. Columbus looked completely out of sorts from the start. What’s great is that the Kings played that game like a playoff game, and never let up. It seemed like everyone had that energy that we usually only see in Simmer on most nights. Great stuff. Let’s keep it going all the way to Chicago! Go Kings!
@variable,
I think thats the first time I’ve ever seen a goalie get a shutout but not get a star in the game. Not that he deserved it over the other guys who did, but still.
@Galen,
Yes, he played a great game… He was the second leader for time on ice behind Doughty….
@Dominick,
Fro-love <3
@PakiFro,
Maybe because the King players limited the jackets on shots on goal to 111?
Should we sign Mo for one year?
@BakoCAkingsCondorsGuy, if worse comes to worse, this is the thread, if you could show him maybe rich? http://www.letsgokings.com/bbs/f4/sign_lgk_virtual_get_well_soon-161081.html
I was at the game and I thought Simmonds really set the tone with some great forechecking and grit. He pounced on an opportunity and got us started with a nice wrister and we were off to the races from there.
We needed a nice easy win and that was what this was: E A S Y. I was shocked at how little resistance Columbus put up.
Doughty was brilliant yet again. My God he is a pleasure to watch.
Well, it seems Kings won’t have to practice for PK tomorrow cause they already did in 3rd period.
Tonight’s scorecard:
Modin: Very good
Frolov: Very good
Simmonds: Good
Doughty: Good
Quick: Good
Brown: Not so good
The boys were on fire tonight! Seeing it live (section 326) was a treat. Fro is making a point. 2014 in Russia maybe? Either way…the boys were great. Keep it going! GO! KINGS! GO!
Damn, that was fun. Here is a post game article almost as fun…almost…
http://lakingsnews.com/2010/03/09/weighed-measured-owned-kings-rout-blue-jackets-6-0/
Simmonds is +21… and only averaging 14 minutes of playing time…
@McDonalds,
Yeah…I saw that! Good for him!
Just because Brown didn’t figure into the scoring doesn’t mean he didn’t play well. The scoring was very well-distributed (no one was a plus 3), and Brownie was possessing the puck, crashing the net and hitting people.
@rick, Why do you rate Brown as not doing so good? Just because the guy didn’t put any points up doesn’t mean he didn’t make big contributions. He got in between the defense on that play in the 1st period and drew a penalty that should have been a penalty shot and we end up scoring on the 4 on 4 he was flying out there moving his feet very well, playing very physical, getting in on the forecheck, had some great backchecks, made smart decisions in his own zone, played good D, and almost had a shortie there at the end of 3rd. Just wondering why you said he didn’t play that well?…
@Harry, yes!!!!
@Number1fan, agree Brown was fine last night!!!
Clune played very god game .
@What’s the frequency, Kenneth?,
He led in ice time because we were winning 4-0 earl!
I didn’t think he was stellar, I saw a few really lazy plays in his own zone. He doesn’t seem to like going into the corners and getting dirty. Still don’t like him there in the playoffs…
@GG, Well, he was good, but I don’t know about God.
I saw some pretty decent plays…didn’t remember any errors on his part.
@Number1fan, I just thought he made bad decisions with the puck/lost the puck on more than a few occasions. I could be wrong – I have read some negative comments about his post-Olympics play here and may have been looking for problems. Feel free to ignore me….
@What’s the frequency, Kenneth?, See my reply to number1fan above. I could be out to lunch on this one – probably am – and in any case the most important thing is that the team as a whole played great.
